When I first read "bamboo" it sounded like it would be itchy/scratchy, but not only is this soft, but when I went hiking wearing it under a pure cotton big shirt on a hot day, the big shirt was wet with perspiration everywhere except for the areas where it touched this shirt. It was much better than other supposedly "moisture wicking" fabric.<br /><br />Also, as one ages and one's body parts start to move without approval in the night, this stretching fabric holds things in place. Perfect for layering under shirts, sweaters, etc. or wearing alone to the gym or on hot summer days. At first, when trying them on, they seem somewhat small, but while wearing they are moisture-wicking and fit comfortably. The waistband does hit a little above the hip, slightly higher than a normal tank. I love them so much I now have them in several colors! When I first read "bamboo" it sounded like it would be itchy/scratchy, but not only is this soft, but when I went hiking wearing it under a pure cotton big shirt on a hot day, the big shirt was wet with perspiration everywhere except for the areas where it touched this shirt. It was much better than other supposedly "moisture wicking" fabric.<br /><br />Also, as one ages and one's body parts start to move without approval in the night, this stretching fabric holds things in place. When I first read "bamboo" it sounded like it would be itchy/scratchy, but not only is this soft, but when I went hiking wearing it under a pure cotton big shirt on a hot day, the big shirt was wet with perspiration everywhere except for the areas where it touched this shirt. It was much better than other supposedly "moisture wicking" fabric.<br /><br />Also, as one ages and one's body parts start to move without approval in the night, this stretching fabric holds things in place.
