These are extremely comfortable undies. The unique cut means they don't creep up my legs despite the legs which are not really "midway" down the thigh. The smalls are a great fit, even for someone like me who has skinny legs. The red waistband is definitely prominent, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective.
I'm 6'7" and like the longer length on the leg. Don't ride up nearly as much as other boxer-briefs, but still have to pull down once or twice a day -- good and better than anything else out there that I've tried, just not perfect. Comfortable + well made. Seem to hold up in the wash so far and none of the quality issues some of the other reviews have alluded to. Good stuff!
If you've been looking for a boxer brief that doesn't ride up, supports you through out the day (and workouts, too), and keeps you dry, then look no further. These midway boxer briefs are everything I've been looking for in underwear. You can't really go wrong with these.
I initially only bought one pair of these along with a couple of the style 1139 Pouch Boxer Briefs (what I've always worn in the past). However, I'm buying a lot more of these 3-D ones today as these feel like the perfect undershort. My only complaint is the waist feels a little too big, but that's most likely due to me and my body. Overall, a great short.
Found these in the blue heather color in the store & bought 3 pair. LOVE THESE. They're very comfortable and fit really well. I have an 'odd' build (short & slightly overweight), and it's really difficult to find BB's that fit well. I love almost all of Jockey's midways because of the length. I do wish they had more color choices in this style; I would have drawers full of them if they did!!!
I wear these midway briefs almost exclusively. I was a Jockey Pouch Midway wearer until these came out. I like the way that the material in the thigh/crotch area stays tight and stays put. I don't like any friction there and these briefs keep things in their place.
I love the way they look, too. I'd like to see this style with a pouch and a y-front, too.
I wear these everyday. The 90/10 blend is perfect for fit and comfort, but there is a bit more to it than that. I have tried other Jockey products that have the same 90/10 fabric but they do not fit as well as the 3d, so there must be something to the cut or construction too. I do hope that Jockey does not discontinue this style.
I just reviewed the 3d Innovations midway boxer brief last month and I am still convinced they are the best boxer briefs available. I have been wearing these for several years now and have owned at least a dozen or so pair. Here are a couple of more observations to add to my previous review.
They do tend to wear for me along the seams, especially along the thigh seam. I would not say that it is premature wear, but this is the area that ends my 3d's service.
I tried the "light weight" version (unknowingly). I used to purchase these at a local retailer and they stopped carrying the regular 90/10 version and started carrying the 94/6 (?) "light weights". Though they look very similar, I am not nearly as happy with the light weights, they just do not have the same amount of stretch or as a result, comfort.
Jockey, please continue to make the 3d Innovations mid way boxer brief and please bring back some type of "heather gray" color.
I really want more of these. Why would you get rid of the best thing you've made? You finally made underwear that fit perfectly, don't ride, and actually have a fly, and now they're gone. Bring them back.
I added these to my cart when I was buying some Pouch Midway Briefs. Just because I needed a few more things to get free shipping at the time. I don't really like wearing the color red, no real explanation, I just don't think it looks good on me. But I got these anyways and I like them so much, they're almost long enough to be as comfortable as the Pouch Midway's, but they don't wear out like the Pouch's do, so that's a plus in my book. I just wish they'd make them with a different color than the red.
My husband usually wears the midway pouch brief. I bought him one pair of this style to try and he said that the legs creep up during the day making them not as comfortable as the others. I will not be purchasing any more of this style. Thanks!
I wear nothing but Jockey and I was very disappointed when I found that they were not going to carry the no fly midway brief anymore. I love the brand, but wish that they would come back with the no fly midway brief. The 3D-Innovation line is the best line yet. I wear the T-Shirts and Midway Briefs. Jockey just needs some consistency; stop creating new products and focus on the great products they already have. You tend to keep customers when the products are available.
I had switched from briefs to boxers a few years ago, pausing for a while at boxer-briefs. The problem with boxer-briefs was that they stretched and they rode up alot. They also caused chaffing between my legs when i walked for a long time. I liked boxers because it allowed air to flow through "down there" and it helped prevent the chaffing. Once I reached the point of needing to replace my underwear, I decided to stop going with the cheap store brands and start investing more into myself by buying higher quality undergarments. True comfort is truly priceless.I love the length of the legs on the midway brief for the fact that it prevents chaffing; if you have had an experience like me, it is painful to walk for a couple of days when it happens. It also provides a snug feeling around the thighs and stays that way all day. The added snugness keeps body heat contained too. I would love to try out the 3d-innovations long johns, but I don't see that they carry a large at this point. As far as form fitting, I am larger built, yet the underwear looks like a second skin. Now even though this is the most awesome underwear i have ever had, it does have a few cons. For one it makes it a little difficult to keep a shirt tucked in, even if you are wearing a belt. The problem could also arise from wearing a belt itself, with such form fitted underwear. Second, when first putting the garment on, it feels a little awkward for a few minutes as it adjusts to your body, it goes away pretty quickly though and feels great all day. Finally, the front of the underwear could have a little bit more of a "pouch", it feels a little flat-fronted sometimes; unless you are wearing boxers, it is pretty much that way for all underwear.Jokey has something going with the 3d innovations line and I expect to purchase more in the future.[...]
What a great compliment to the Jockey Innovation line. Is a great fit, feels smooth & gives a feeling of confidence when I wear them. They are great to lounge around the house in. Very durable. Great flexibility
This new line of underwear has truly revolutionized the Jockey industry. I have found that by buying your product I not only save, but am comfortable all day as well. Thank you so much for introducing our American society to such a revolutionary product!
Simply the best underwear I've ever owned...but I'm a big guy, and it looks like Jockey has discontinued this line in the Big/Tall sizing! Please Jockey! Don't do this! It is nearly impossible to find underwear that is such high quality and wears so well in larger sizes. Do not discontinue this line in the larger sizes! PLEASE!
