At the same time, I was eager to try this new Microfiber Performance Brief. You offer some great color choices, and it's a sharp-looking style. (Why no yellow and orange in 5X?)
Unfortunately, the boxer-brief style is not as comfortable as the Midway was in the Sport H-Fly. I would try this one again if I saw a Microfiber Performance Midway brief offered, but I have yet to find a boxer-brief style that suits my frame. On the plus side, a guy with large thighs and a big seat gets a lot of give with this fabric.
I'm very glad to see Jockey moving their fashion-forward styles into a bigger size range. I've been in the Big-Man category pretty much from the start, and have tried most, if not all of your new lines. I give you a thumbs up for stretching the boundaries and offering a bigger cut! Don't stop!
I like the 80/20 Poly/Spandex fabric blend! It's sturdy, durable, and moves and flexes on a big frame well! That's a huge plus! Currently, I would buy the Sport H-Fly over this style if the Sport H-fly were still available in a Midway for Big Men.
So that meant taking a risk and making some, hoping the Giants would be the winners and that Madison would be the MVP--which would make the campaign work.
But we weren't so sure that very many guys in the public--even fans--would really be that interested in paying money for MadBum underwear. And how long would that enthusiasm last?
So we stuck to the idea of just making a couple thousand promotional items and posting the image of the MadBum underwear online and elsewhere to show our support for San Francisco and Madison in particular on their great win.
And so now we're hearing from fans like you, who--much to our surprise--like the MadBum underwear enough to pay for it.
So we immediately got word to our team in San Francisco to see if there were any leftovers from the celebration. They had about 200 left and we gave them away to interested fans on Facebook and Twitter.
On behalf of all of us here at Jockey, I'm really sorry we don't have any for sale.
