If you're a bigger guy, concerned about comfort, function and protecting against chaffing, these boxer-briefs from Jockey are a MUST! I've tried out competing products from Hanes and BVD, and they just don't stand-up to Jockey's quality design and comfort. If you're going to spend the $$, spend it on Jockey. It's worth it!
GREAT product; had doubts as 5X guy about racy red waistband and spandex; strictly an all black or all white non-fashion guy, but lycra is REALLY soft and added unexpectedly nice support which all cotton will not provide, AND without binding typical of all cotton; breathes better than expected, but lycra is definitely a little warmer than all cotton, so Fall is good so far, but we'll see about summer; fertility doc would NOT approve; would definitely wear under sweats for tennis/athletic & for sleeping in addition to day wear; was worried about possibly shiny finish, but matte finish is great; nominal shrinkage after first wash; surprised myself and ordered more for regular wear and to try black out too (have seen black not wear as well as white in other fabrics long term); elance boxer's thicker waist band would be nice on this product; would recommend for big guy like me as replacement for Guy Laroche not made any more (midways too; bought eight).
I've worn Jockey classic briefs since Ike's administration. Lately, as age and gravity have taken their toll, the brief was no longer sufficiently supportive or comfortable. The Innovations boxer brief has solved all my comofort and fit problems. I tried other Jockey products, but the percentage of spandex is too low, and by the end of the day, they look, and feel, like tap pants on a chorus girl. Innovations fit firmly all day long. On a motorcycle, there is no bunching, painful seam or pinching such as I was experiencing with classic briefs. Innovations are the only underware I'll use from now on. I took advantage of the recent sale and would like to be assured that Innovations will be available for the forseeable future. I've tried the other Jockey offerings and they just don't cut it. I used the Classic boxers for paint rags after one wearing. The 3% spandex model (whose name escapes me) just doesn't hold up all day. I'll wear them, because I have them, in situations where I'll only be wearing them for a half-day, or less. I have no negative comments about the Innovation boxer briefs.
I'm a big man. Not tall, big. I love playing golf and constantly complain to my friends that I can't find a decent pair of underware that doesn't ride up OR a midway where the leg stays where it should to prevent chaffing.
This underware forms around your body and stays were it should to provide the support needed, doesn't ride up, and prevents chaffing. It's not as breathable as I would want but the extra heat is worth it to get support and cloth between my legs when active.
These briefs are excellent in every way, but they are also very expensive and none of the Jockey specials or coupons for percent off every apply to them. I guess that's Jockey's right, but it sure does create customer ill-will and lack of loyalty.
This is a very comfortable product and I would buy it again if it was available on demand, however it seems they run out of this product on a regular basis. However I will buy again as soon as both colors are available in quantity.
I can't say enough about this style. Very breathable, comfortable, roomy pouch area,no hassle fly, and great feeling on the skin. I am ordering more of these trust me you wont be disappointed. I am happy to see that these are made in Big & Tall sizes. Wife says they are very sexy compared to plain white briefs all the time.
I am a big guy and have tried to find boxer briefs that do not ride up. I have tried the other brands that state "no ride up" but they do! The leg bands do not stay stretched out and they do ride up a little but no where near the others! I have tried the Jockey Long boxer briefs which are good but the go below my knees as they are designed for "tall" guys. These are by for the best and I will continue to buy them!
even though my body size is 52-54 i ordered 3xl because i knew from buying underware that 4xl would be too big 3xl fit just right, comfortable, good fit, great support and soft.I don't know about the weak seams or wearing out quickly i have not had them long enough to tell.
Tried many others, they were cut strange and were uncomfortable, or fell apart after a few washes. Jockey is the exact opposite. Stands strong after well over a year. Fit is perfect and very comfortable, just wish I could find them in stores.
Wore briefs as a young man. By high school they became uncomfortable, constant adjusting and picking out wedgies. Upon entering the work force I purchased business suits all containing wool. When I complained to the tailor the pants were itchy he suggested I switch to boxershorts. No matter what brand I wore they rode up and I always had a "moose knuckle" (google it). I missed the support of a brief plus the boxers were obvious under most pants. Tried boxer-briefs, they feel like longer briefs at first but after a couple of hours they stretch out and become worse than baggy boxers. Everything drops out and because the inseam is usally shorter than regular boxers you don't have proper coverage. I recently purchased a pair of Jockey Innovations Midway Brief. They are so comfortable you forget you are wearing them. The legs don't ride up, the waist band stays where you put it, they retain their shape after washing and drying and the best part is they give my boys a comfortable home all day. Who ever sugested blending a little spandex in with the cotton is a genius. I went online and purchased 5 more pairs. Now the best part of getting dressed in the morning is knowing you are going to have a good day when the last thing you will be thinking about is your underpants. Would like to see more colors besides black or white.
I bought these to help eliminate chaffing. I walk alot at work and with my other boxers I was getting "chub rub." My girl just kept telling me it was a bad fitting boxers and the material. I was convinced that it would always happen regardless of my underwear. Well I am happy to say that if your in the same boat that's not the chase. With these boxers I no longer have the uncomfortable chaffing. My girl was right. Good fitting boxers and the right material equals no chaffing. These boxers are great! And it helps that they make me look great too. Or so the girlfriend says.
