I started to use this product during my sophmore year of High School. I continued to wear Jockey Lo Rise Briefs during my university days. Many of my fraturnity brothers began to wear the Jockey Lo Rise Brief. We like the fit, comfort, style, looks, and colors of these jockeys. We continue to wear them after university. As I go back to grad school, I will wear them their as well.
A few years ago, I began to experience a dull ache in my privates, which prompted a visit to a urologist. He diagnosed a cyst on my testicle, not dangerous but annoying, and told me it was probably caused by not supporting "my equipment". I had worn boxer shorts very happliy since college, but decided to follow his advice and switch to briefs, at least temporarily. I tried quite a few brands and found Jockey Low-rise to give the best support of all I tried. Now they are the only skivvies I wear, both for underwear and for sleepwear. I have been pain-free since the switch, and my wife thinks they look better than my old boxers. Many thanks, Jockey! Please keep making these terrifically comfortable briefs.
whenever i go for my annual work medical I always make sure i have a new pair of low rise jockeys on as i feel so much more confident stripping down to them. with so many men's underwear styles being rather feminine these days, i was delighted when the last doctor i saw commented that he was pleased to see a guy wearing proper men's underpants. and for the last check they come up and down with minimal effort !
These underwear are great. I started out a brief guy as a kid /teenager then a boxer brief guy for a while. I wore boxer briefs for the look. I have grown up a little since then and have realized that boxer briefs are not that practical. They always ride up. Im sure its the same for everyone. You put on a pair of jeans and the legs of the underwear end up at your crotch. I switched back to briefs and jockey low rise are awesome. They are comfortable, they don't ride up, they are easy access (y-front), and they look good. In my opinion, these are the best underwear. I use these for work, gym and for casual. The Y-front is definitely a selling point for me. When I am at work I wear jeans with zippers and the y-front works great. I hope this style is around for good. One other thing....size up on these. Other than that, if you are a practical guy and comfort is what you desire, you should give these a shot.
I love these briefs. I am a very active person and these briefs meet every strenuous activity I undertake. Not only do they feel good when I work out in them, but my girlfriend loves seeing me in these. Women still find briefs much sexier than boxers. I feel great in my jockeys.
in this day and age of loose underwear, it so good to have gone back to something that can only be described as proper mens's underpants. they guys at the gym are now starting to wear them too, as they are soft and non chaffing, whilst giving support without the crunch factor. worth buying a size bigger than you are though, as they shrink a bit on a hotter wash.
Jockey.com is sooo easy to order from. I always hated standing in the underwear isle @ JCPenny trying to find my size, style & color. Much easier to get online and and browse the wide selection. I have always gotten my order within a week, usually 4-5 days. It's always exactly as ordered. The only time I've ever had to contact customer service was when I made some mistakes on my order.I sent an e-mail that night and pretty much first thing the next morning cust service e-mailed me back and had gotten it straightened out.
I love the Jockey lo rise briefs; I have worn these Jockeys since high school. Colored briefs are great. I especially like the royal blue, true blue, navy blue, red, and striped briefs. I wish they would make the retro briefs that they made for the[...]. They were solid colors royal blue, red, green and they had white piping and waistband. They were very sexy, masculine and comfortable. I wish Jockey International would get a clue; there are many guys who would like these briefs to return. The retro line that Jockey came out with about 2 years ago were cool, (the ones with the navy piping and waistband) but I like the urban outfitters true retro version the best. Oh well, I still like the lo rise briefs great product. I have bought these briefs for my dad and my nephew and they like them a lot too. My nephew likes the colors especially the royal blue, navy blue, true blue, red and striped.
Bought these for my husband and noted the comments to buy the next size up, but when they arrived I realized they were still too small. So I washed one 3-set to see how much smaller they would be after washing. I'll keep these three pairs because he "plans" to lose weight so these will be waiting when he does so.
The older ones are still in great shape except that the waistband is coming apart from the briefs in several places. All the older pairs are doing this unfortunately. Comparing these new ones to the older one makes it obvious that there is a difference. They look the same, but the fit is not quite the same. I'm in a dilemma whether to order yet another size up or wait until I go into a jockey store so I can make a more up-close decision.
My actual waist size when measured is 42" and I find the size 38 Full Rise briefs to be the most comfortable. For a change, I opted to order the Low Rise Briefs in size 38, but found them *way* too small and tight-fitting, so I gave them to a friend. I think he said that these 38s fit him fine, and that he normally wears size 36. I like the style, but because 38 is the largest size offered, I went back to buying the 38 Full Risers in the fashion colors. I put on my Jockey briefs in the morning and don't think about them all day, they are so comfortable. They don't ride or pinch or anything.
I've bought this style in size 34 for at least three years, fit was great. Bought two packs and these feel like size 32. Holding these up to a basically new pair from an earlier purchase they are certainly smaller.
have been buying size 36 for years; bought these for the sale price. Noticed "black elastic" and washed them all before wearing. Wish I hadn't and would have sent them back- they are loose , all of a sudden the sizing changed from Jockey. Order you regular size, in my case 34 and they would have been OK after washing. THere is no need to allow for shrinkage!
While the classic low-rise are still a good quality Jockey product, I found the pouch to be seriously lacking in space. Also, I picked these up off the clearance table and they were sporting the old black waistband, which I found to be exceptionally harsh in its feel. Perhaps this has been improved with the newer waistband. I may well try these in one size larger before I give up altogether, although I found the seamless waistband low-rise briefs (style 1160) to be more comfortable.
I really liked the comfort and fit of the "Modern Classics" low rise brief made in Costa Rica. Sadly, I can't find them any more. The "Classic" low rise brief made in Cambodia is not nearly as comforatble a fabric and they seem to run one size too small. Please bring back the "Modern Classics."
Have been wearing these for years and wanted to get new ones. Wish I had kept the old ones- the black elastic is cut larger and feels loose vs. old models. There are differences in the fit as I had purchased two packs (6 pair). Also, the material seems to be of a lesser quality. All in all I'm disappointed.
Compared to the same product I have purchased from you in the past, going back for years, the amount of cloth has now been reduced as a cost-saving measure (without passing any savings along to the customer), resulting in a much less comfortable fit. I will not be buying Jockey again anytime soon.
Been wearing for years!! Tried others, enough said! Recently bought a color pack, usually a white brief guy here, love them! Jockey never disappoints, thee most comfortable all around underwear made, by far!
THANK you very kindly for sending me replacements for the stripped LOW RISE BRIEFS (Style #8010). I know it's not imaginary... but the cotton material used in (the body) of the stripped LOW RISE BRIEFS (Style #8010) is not the same as in the BLACK or Heather Grey. It also seems the waistband in the stripped (Style #8010) LOW RISE BRIEF is sewn larger than the plain color BLACK or Heather Grey.
I used to think that boxer briefs were the way to go, but who needs the extra material on the legs? These briefs are very comfortable, the fly is great for easy access, and these are fantastic to sleep in. I will buy more of these when they wear out.
The low rise men's briefs are great underwear; been wearing them for years. BUT, where is the color selection? There is your basis white, and three dark shades. That's it. How about some pizzaz, Jockey!
Have been wearing these for sixty years and love them. Always true to form. Just got bargain of a lifetime. Bought them in price reduction at an outlet store for nine dollars for a three pack because they said they are changing the packaging. So what!! Change packaging all you want and I will buy lots of the old for that price. Bought four packs and will keep them in reserve as I have at least twenty pairs in use. Love it.
