Not as good as they used to be
I still have some Jockey Midway Stretch that I purchased a few years ago at an outlet store. They have an orange label and are 90% cotton/ 10% spandex - still fit thighs snug, elastic waist band has not lost any elasticity - love them but couldn't find them in any stores.
So when I found the Classic Stretch Midway at Jockey online, I thought they would be the same quality product. NOT SO! I wore 1 pair. The elastic band feels weak and will likely lose it's elasticity after a few washings. The legs lost their shape in only one day, and they rode up and were uncomfortable sitting or walking. Actually worse than other brands that I have rejected in the past. Cotton feels flimsy and 5% Spandex doesn't do the job. You can't charge more for a cheaper product and not expect people to notice. BRING BACK THE QUALITY OF THE ORANGE LABEL PRODUCT OR YOU HAVE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER.

This is my Compromise
I am satisfied with the compromise in the design. I still like my old ones with the orange tag in the front and a conventional fly front. Yes, I am older (75) and like what I have lived with for many years. The images in the advertisement are misleading as to the inseam length or I don't know what your definition of inseam is.

these newer styles not as good
I have tried to order the ones I really like...seems Jockey has stopped making them....? they are midway, white with a black waistband that has "JOCKEY" in orange....90% cotton and 10% spandex...these are the best fit ever in size large...but can't seem to find them on your website any longer....have ordered what I thought would be similar, only to be disappointed....bring back the orange label or you will probably lose me as a customer....

After just one wash there was considerable shrinkage. Good feel a little tight in the fit but I wasn't ready for such a high percentage of shrink. Sorry but I wouldn't buy these again.

Package says 4-5" inseam. It measures closer to 2". Still only 3" when on. First time we ordered these they were as labeled, but the last two times they've been short.

Terrible fit, uncomfortable, not like they used to be!!!
Dont waste your money on these- they are not like they used to be. Jockey has changed the fabric and the fit and the classic midway favorite fit is gone!! The new fabric does not move with you or breath like the original. The thighs are shorter length and have a tight fold at the bottom that rides up after just walking. They shrunk so much after first wash that they are unwearable. I was a long time buyer of the classic midways but jockey lost me as a customer after my final purchase.

These are not midways!
These are not & should not be advertised as midway briefs. They don't come close to midway.

Midway Briefs are supposed to be long
These are very short for midway, definitely not what I was looking for. Wish they would put the length on each item.

BEST ANSWER: I wish we could have found more people like you, who enjoyed our Men's Go Stretch Midway Brief . It was, alas, discontinued due to poor sales performance. I ran a quick scan on inventory in our warehouse and our outlet stores (sometimes we can find discontinued products there). But no luck: there's not a single piece to be found. Sorry about that.

Meanwhile, we will pass your feedback on to our merchandising and sales staff as products are often brought back when consumer demand is great enough.
Please make the Go Stretch midway briefs again, nothing else out there compares to them. Please give it a thought? Thank You
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Agreed ... been saying it for years. Jockey is missing the boat. To the Jockey Merchandising and Sales staff, PLEASE BRING BACK THE Go Stretch Midway Briefs.
what happen to the jockey classics midway briefs with the orange jockey waist ban, they were 90 percent cotton and 10 percent spandex???
A shopper on Jun 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: News Flash Jockey ... I was the classic midway briefs wearer. Still have 8 pairs that I've sewed (inseam tears) to keep, they are that good. But your Classic Stretch Midway (Style 9353) doesn't come close, and is NOT an "excellent alternative." I find it hard to believe that sales performance of the Go Stretch Midway Brief is as you claim. Read many Jockey reviews and comments as I've searched long and hard for the Classics. Bring back the original ... PLEASE!
I recently purchased the following on line:
Jockey® Classic Stretch Midway - 3 Pack

Style #9353

Unfortunately, compared to last year's model (same midway brief black w/orange) it is not as long on my thigh and is riding up on my leg like a boxer brief?

Paul P on Sep 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I agree it's not the same fit as the "go stretch" and rides up. I personally do not like these and will not purchase them again.
Why did the shorten the length of the midway briefs?
A shopper on Jun 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That is a great question. The inseam measurement that we provide on our products are based on when the garment is being worn. This particular item, the Jockey Classic Stretch Midway offers an inseam measurement of 7-8 inches while being worn. The spandex in the product allows the legs to stretch while being worn. It does have an inseam measurement of 2-2 1/2 inches when laying flat on a table. Hope this helps.
Do these tear near the crotch like the old ones.?
Larry S on Oct 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes and they are not as long on the thigh as the older version. These ride up and fit more like a brief than a midway. I wont re-order these.
can you put in dryer?
A shopper on Sep 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can put it in the dryer. I have put mine in the dryer numerous times and had no problem I love the way that they feel and have had no problems with them,,
Which style has side accessible fly?
A shopper on Jun 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That is a great question. Our Jockey Classic Stretch collection has our C-fly, which does offer side access. Our H-Fly, which is in our Pouch Collection, has a horizontal opening. That allows for access from either side. Hope this helps.
Im looking for microfiber briefs with contour fly, know of any?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you so much for your question. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer a microfiber brief with a contour fly. But, we're always looking for new opportunities, and my manager says that he will pass your suggestion along. There was a time when we didn't make underwear, just socks. But then we took a chance on something new, and now our underwear is sold in over 120 countries around the world. So, rest assured, we've learned to carefully consider new opportunities.

Hope this helps!
What became of the midway that was 97percent cotton and 3 percent spandex? Best midway brief ever.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! That would be our Jockey Pouch Midway Brief. You can find that particular style online at: Hope this helps!
Do these underwear have seems in the back? If so, do you have any men's underwear that does not have a seem in the back.
A shopper on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This style does feature a pair of seams running down the rear of the garment. Many of our Midway Brief styles do feature these seams, but I would like to invite you to give one of our Personal Shoppers a call at 1-800-JOCKEY-1 (800-562-5391). We can assist you with finding a suitable style without those rears seems in a fabrication you're going to love. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
