I'm now on my second order of these guys! Seriously, the most comfortable boxer briefs I've ever owned. The soft cotton stretch fabric is cool and breathable. The fit is perfect. I equally love the Midway version. Buy these & thank me later! Jockey, get more colors!
I' recently switched from regular briefs to boxer briefs and have tried several trunk/boxer brief styles so far. These are the best, just edging out the "pouch" style. The rise is perfect (low), leg length is good, waistband flat and comfortable, legs don't creep up too much, and don't roll, stretch out or otherwise create problems as many others do. I just wish the color palette was expanded beyond black and white!
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I want to add to my stock of these briefs before they become discontinued. I don't know that they will but seems like every time I find something that fits and feels really good they discontinue the line.
What is the difference between 8421 and 8494 boxer brief ?

Best Answer:Thank you for your question! Both of those style numbers refer to our Jockey Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Boxer Brief. Style 8494 would be our current color and style number offering for this particular style, while 8421 would be our preivously offered style number. Both feature the same great product, but from time to time we do update our style numbers for our department store customers. Beyond that change, and a slightly different color offering, both of these styles feature that same great stay-dry feel you've come to love! If you had any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
The 8494 is a low rise and the legs are short than the 8421. The 8421 to me is a little longer in the legs and they seems to roll up a little more than the 8494. I like both just because of the feel and the snug fit. The only problem I seem to find is I can't find them anywhere other than Jockey and they don't seems to be included in a lot of the great promotions that are offered. I would be nice if the 8494 would come in more than the 3 colors that are offered. I will tell you that I will continue to buy them as long as Jockey doesn't make changes to them.
I have read the info on both of these and see no difference in their description. What was most important for my husband was the LOW RISE. I would suggest which ever style you choose you select the LARGE size. I could not find the number in the shorts I purchased for my husband but they appear to have a shorter leg length. They do very well in the laundry with no shrinkage (I use cold water wash and regular drying cycle.) These are very comfortable for him with no ride up and the fabric feels very good!!
To me these boxer briefs are really identical in fit. The difference that I saw was the availability of more color options for one vs. the other. Both are a great feeling BB brief, no ride up, the leg stays put all day and they resume their original feel after laundering. The traditional fly for me is also important and one of Jockey's best products.
What size should I order for a 35inch waist (measured with tape where the low rise boxer brief would sit)?

Best Answer:Thank you for your question, the size large measures a 36-38 and the size medium measures a 32-34. Typically, I will tell people to go with the size larger when in a sizing situation. What I suggest is going with a medium and large and return the one that does not fit. We offer free returns and exchanges on each order.
