Not Exactly a Substitute for Poco Elance
Was to be everyday underwear.

Waist construction is more durable than Poco Elance.

However, lacking pouch lining makes an inferior replacement for the Poco Elance.

Great style. Very comfortable.
These are the best ever! But there are no white ones. Your policy of having to buy a color not wanted in order to get one that is wanted limits choices and may inhibit sales. Selection should include white, a basic color always welcomed by the consumer.
March 10, 2015
No white?
I'd be interested in this, I like the style, finally no logo on the waistband, but where's white? Jockey continues to fail in the color department. My wife prefers me in white, period. I prefer heather gray and as usual it is only offered with a different color.

Stop messing around with fashion colors. You have to offer white and please listen to your customers - a two pack should only contain ONE color, not two different ones , one of which we don't want!!

Great replacement for Elance Poco brief
These briefs are stretchy but not tight. Exactly the right size.
March 8, 2015
Uncomfortable
When I tried on the sample pair they fit well. But after a few hours they were too tight. I formerly wore the Poco style and was told this would be equivalent Ordered the XL, same as I wore in Poco, and they were enormous. Got sample of Large tried it, thought it was good. Ordered 5 pair more. Now after wearing them for a couple of weeks I really don't like them. They're not the same material and aren't very comfortable. I want to return them all.
March 3, 2015
Waist band is not tight enough
I was told the Elance Poco brief was being discontinued and this was the substitute. I was told the sizing was the same. No way. I could hardly keep them on. The service person was great and sent me a smaller size which was better, but not really as good as the Poco briefs which I've used for years and really like.
November 30, 2014
Disappointed
This definitely falls short of the Poco product that I enjoyed for probably 30 years. The design makes it fit low on the backside. So constantly adjusting. The elastic on the legs to tighter also adding to the overall discomfort.

FIT AND FEEL IS PERFECT
These fit and feel great! I have worn Jockey low-rise briefs for many years and this new style is the best. For reference I have a 36 waist and order the large and they fit perfect. They keep me cool and comfortable. Jockey don’t stop making them.

Better than the old Pocos brief.
These remind me of the old Poco brief but with the added stretch they move even better. Glad you introduced these.

K A on Jul 17, 2015
Some time ago, Jockey stopped making the "pouch briefs" that I found to be the most comfortable. At the time, a lady called me and told me they were going. I stocked up on a large number of them. I am now looking for something to replace them These were comfortable, and seemed to wick sweat away better than pure cotton.
T P on Jul 16, 2015
I find these to be very comfortable.

Purchased this item as a substitute for the Elance line which had been removed from the Jockey product line for some time. I prefer Elance to this particular model - glad that it has been restored as of July 2015.

Where are the elance poco briefs ?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am veyr sorry but due to poor sales performance our Elance poco brief has been discontinued. I will pass on your suggestion to our product development team and hopefully we will bring them back in the future.
Are Pocos discontinued? Are there any left? I bought 20 pair years ago and they're finally all wearing out. Some of the briefs on your site are similar, but the colors are totally weird for older guys! Why not offer basic tighty whities?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am very sorry but we have discontinued the Elance Poco brief. We have replaced them with the Jockey® Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief style number 8492. This item is almost identical in fit but it has a little bit of spandex in the fabrication to allow for more stretch and comfort.
Where are the whites? Would like white & 2 colors the same in the packages. My husband doesn't like all those odd colors.
Gail A on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am very sorry but this item does not come in white at this time. I will pass on your suggestion tha we make this item in white in the future.
How do they fit in comparison to Jockey Classic Low Rise Brief?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the classic low rise does have slightly larger dimensions. The classic low rise has a rise of 11 3/4 inches and a side seam of 5 1/4 inches. The low-rise cotton stretch brief has a rise of 10 inches and a side seam of 4 1/2 inches.
do they run small or true to size?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Based on the fit you are looking for these will be true to size. If you are accustomed to wearing a full rise brief the fit on these will seem small. However, if you are a bikini wearer they will seem a little big. This item is a good balance between the two. This item is intended to sit belows the waist but not below the hip. With all of our products I suggest purchasing based on the size chart. If for any reason the garment does not work for you; we offer free returns and exchanges on every order.
DOES THIS PRODUCT HAVE A COTTON LINER?
LEONARD on Aug 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes this product does have an additional cotton liner in the pouch area of the garment, thus creating a double layer of fabric. All of the fabric is cotton with a small amount of spandex to allow flexing.
Will these shrink in washing as the lance poco did?
A shopper on Dec 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is very slight shrinkage, but I don't consider it a problem at all. These were my favorite briefs of the two types I oredered from Jockey and two other brands/types I ordered at the same time in August 2014.
does the waist last longer than the classic low rise brief?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, all of our garments are wear-tested to last 52 washing or a year. If you have garment that are not meeting thie expectation; please call one of our personal shoppers at 1-800-562-5391 and we will be happy to assist in getting your replacements. So far, we have not had complaints about this item and the waistband not holding up.
Style 8492 doesn't come in white?
A shopper on May 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Although we don't offer our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief in white right now, I am making a note of it in our database for our merchandisers. They've been looking for consumer insights to help them in their color selection, and so we really appreciate you taking the time to contact us. You never know -- your feedback may just change our underwear (at least in terms of color offerings).
Why can't I purchase just the gray heather Jockey low rise cotton stretch brief? I do not want the companion luke striped pair that is is packaged with. I would like to purchase 4 of the grey heather briefs.
Please advise.
Fritz v on Feb 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Although we don't offer our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief in an all grey pack right now, I am making a note of it in our database for our merchandisers. They've been looking for consumer insights to help them in their color selection, and so we really appreciate you taking the time to contact us. You never know -- your feedback may just change our underwear (at least in terms of color offerings). Thank you for your patience and understanding.
I see that others have inquired about the poco elance brief and have been told that they've been discontinued. I have worn them for years for the comfortable fit and waistband. I have tried other styles and brands and have not been satisfied at all. Is there a style that comes close to the elance? Please advise. Thanks Fran
Fran H on Apr 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. I sure wish we could have found more people like you. Due to poor sales performance our Elance Poco Brief was retired, and we have no more. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Our customers have been migrating to our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief - 2 Pack (style 8492) (viewable at http://www.jockey.com. Just enter the style number in the "find" field in the upper right corner and click "find").
are they lined?
Dan L on May 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! our Jockey Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief does feature a lining with its dual layer design to allow for comfort and support. Hope this helps!
Does the Jockey® Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief have a lining like the poco brief in the front?
A shopper on May 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not familiar with the poco brief, but this brief does have another layer of fabric in the front area. It is constructed like pretty much every other men's brief, with the extra panel in front.
Is it true that these do not have double fabric in the pouch?
David M on Jan 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No that is not true. Unlike the Elance Bikini briefs this line is meant to replace, they DO have a second layer of fabric in the pouch making them more desireable to me than the original Elance bikinis.

Will you Bring back the pocos?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! I wish we could have found more people like you, who enjoyed our Elance Poco Brief. It was, alas, discontinued due to poor sales performance. I ran a quick scan on inventory in our warehouse and our outlet stores (sometimes we can find discontinued products there). But no luck: there's not a single piece to be found. Sorry about that. While our Jockey Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief has been the style many of our customers have begun to migrate to in place of our Poco Brief, I do know many of our customers are looking for this classic style. To that end I have forwarded a suggestion to our design team on your behalf that we bring those Pocos back, as many times these older styles can return to our sales offerings based on consumer input. Thank you for your feedback, it really does help!
When are you bringing back the Elance poco brief?
A shopper on May 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wish we could have found more people like you, who enjoyed our Elance Poco Brief. It was, alas, discontinued due to poor sales performance. I ran a quick scan on inventory in our warehouse and our outlet stores (sometimes we can find discontinued products there). But no luck: there's not a single piece to be found. Sorry about that. I do know that we are currently in the process of reviewing the prospect of bringing our Elance collection back as online exclusives to Jockey.com. We are expecting these styles to return to Jockey.com in the future, but as of this time we do not have an exact date. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Does the low rise stretch brief have the white liner in the front?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This particular style does feature that dual layer design, the inner layer is the same color as the body of the garment. Hope this helps!
How about tan or a nude color for wearing under white summer pants?
A shopper on May 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good suggestion, but I'm not sure about whether it is likely to happen. Jockey is a good company which I have used for years and I am a VIP member which basically means that I purchase a lot from them. I used to not do that previously as Jockey seemed to be stuck in the "tighty whitey" mode with limited models, fabrics, styles and colors. Over the last number of years they seemed to break out of that traditional mode by producing more styles and colors. I would suggest that you contact Jockey directly with your request, but I don't know that I would be too optimistic that they will do it. I'm sure that they have research data on what people are asking for and they may not have had many requests for colors such as those you are requesting. You might consider asking them for a white version of this style of underwear instead as that might be easier to produce. Good luck.
what is the style number of this brief?
Ronald E on Aug 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Ronald, the style number for the Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief - 2 Pack is 8492.
do you have briefs with a fitted cup for a bigger bulge up front?
A shopper on Jul 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. While many of our briefs offer the same sized front support, we do offer our Pouch collection which does feature a larger pouch area. The brief style for that collection can be found at: http://www.jockey.com/catalog?q=1145 Hope this helps!

You can find our complete size chart at: http://www.jockey.com/shoppingguide/sizecharts If you had any other questions about this or any other Jockey style, please do not hesitate to ask!
What size to get if one has a 35" waist?
David M on Jan 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the size 35 falls between our size medium and large. Typically, I suggest going up a size. My suggestion is to go with the size large. If the size large isn't right for you; we offer free returns and exchanges on every order.
Has there been any decision on bringing back the elance mens briefs size xl. I wore them for years. Also, what do you currently offer that is the closest to the elance?
Richard T on Jan 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am very sorry that we discontinued your favorite Elance poco brief. I will pass your suggestion on to our product development and merchandising teams and hopefully we will bring them back. The closest we have to the poco is the low rise cotton stretch brief.
what is the numerical size foe small eg what size is 30-32 ?

How do these compare with regards to fit and features to the Go Seamless Waistband Urban Brief? I have been using these since the Poco was discontinued.
RussF on Oct 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Russ, the Go Seamless Waistband Urban Brief was a little higher in the rise and had a wider wasitband. This item is very similar to our Elance Poco brief tha was discontinued.
THese seem to be out of stock in medium. when will they be back?
