Comments about Jockey® Performance Stretch Long John:
As soon as I put this on, I noticed how smooth the fabric felt against my skin, and I could feel some warmth. Even though Jockey is known for its classic y-front these don't feature that (as I wish they did) but do offer a fully functional keyhole design fly -- gotta have that with layers on! The electric green contrast stitching is a bonus along with the vintage Jockey rider man logo in the middle of the waistband. Love that!
What features best describe this style:
Smooth, Stylish, Thin, Warm
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
LJ are a necessary winter apparel. They are also an expensive apparel in the winter season.. hard to find quality fits, and fabrics. these were just right, convenient and reasonable.. one stop shopping for a mens necessity. similar at UA costs $50+.
Are Jockey long johns intended to serve are underwear/briefs or are you supposed to wear briefs underneath them?

Best Answer:It's really a matter of personal preference in terms of how much support and/or warmth you want during the day. Over the years I have generally worn briefs under long johns both for the added warmth and due to the fact that cotton-blend long johns tend to relax during the day and not offer much support. While that is less of a problem given the inherent stretch in the synthetic fibers of these long johns, they still will not feel quite as supportive as a brief if that's what you are accustomed to. But I've worn these particular long johns with and without a brief underneath, and they're comfortable either way.
Since they are made out of the same material, perhaps a bit thinner, than other underwear/briefs, and are cut just like underwear, I think they are supposed to serve as underwear. I gave a set to my boyfriend and can't get him out of it. He often wears the zippered top as outer wear and people think it's expensive biker gear or something. - and he loves the warmth and comfort of the leggings under regular pants. He even wears the set to sleep in. (If you did wear briefs under the long johns you would then have two openings in front.) Hope this helped.
We just got snow in the Methow Valley yesterday so I got out my freshly waxed ski's and had my first chance to wear my Performance Stretch Long Johns and the matching 1/4 zip top. I wore the long johns as base layer with no underwear and a lightweight pair of nylon pants over them. Temp was about 32 degrees and I was very comfortable... warm enough, good moisture transfer, and nice freedom of movement.
While you could wear them with no briefs, it is better to wear your normal briefs underneath them. Doing this will allow you can use them as "long underwear" for a few days instead of just one day as you would for a normal brief.
could you posibly look into manufacturing these and the matching crew shirt in a tall mans length? 36"+ inseam and a 36"+ Sleeve. Everyone wants to carry sizes for larger men but not for the tall skinny men.

Best Answer:Hi, I am very sorry tha we do not have tall man variety of this item availalbe this year. We are always looking for ways to make our items more appealing and availalbe to our customers. I will pass on your suggestion to our product development team and hopefuly we will have them next year.
Best Answer:Hi Bob, I took a measurment of our size large of style number 843800 and the inseam is 27 1/2 inches, the outseam is 36 inches and the rise is 11 1/2 inches. This item is an base layer active wear item and is intended to fit to the top of the ankle and have a "second skin" type of feel.
