Elance at a Glance
I've had a very difficult time finding comfortable, cotton panties. I like the old fashioned, full fit that Jockey Elance offers. I've never found skimpy, high cut panties to be comfortable.

These just aren't the same now!
[...]. Jockey seems to have changed these panties and I'm very disappointed. These were my absolute favorite underwear and the only brand I consistently bought. Now, the fit has changed, the covered elastic isn't as smooth, and the fabric seems cheaper. These just don't fit well enough for the price anymore--I'll be looking for something else. Jockey, please bring back the old Elance!

perfect!
I've been looking for black cotton briefs forever. They seemed to only come in packages with other colors. So I was thrilled to be able to get a package of black only. Plus I love the quality.

Not one thing wrong with these panties
These are the most comfortable, best fitting, underpants I've ever experienced in my 70 years. Excellent quality that even a man can't easily wear out compared to men's underpants. Jockey needs to manufacture these panties specifically for men using the same material and design with two alterations -- bring the front "moisture" pad up higher about 2 to 3 inches without destroying the snug fit of the leg holes and try to provide a slit that has very little overlap which is as close to the right leg hole as possible. [*] The slit is not imperative as it is still easier to handle the sought-after equipment through the leg hole and replace it without fear that it will fall out either side in men's pants. I doubt I'll ever want to return to wearing my old, men's pants again. Be the first to introduce men's PANTIES, but use discretion in your advertising them so as not to expose the wearers to ridicule -- BUT TRY IT Jockey. Be the first!

These are the only briefs I will wear!
I will only wear these. Nothing else is anywhere close.

Inconsistant Sizing
The only good thing about them is they are soft. Every time I buy these the crotch is way too narrow and leg openings seem to big. The sizing is not consistant from one pair to another. To bad they are not made in the USA,I think they would be better qualty!

What Happened?
I've been buying these briefs for 15/20 years, but my last purchase of 6+ pair left me wondering what happened. Three of the six pair, all size 7, where short waisted and fit about an inch below the natural waist, while the other three pair fit fine. I also noticed that the cotton is now thinner than those I've had for years, and the material is rather stiff and wrinkled when they come out of the dryer. I would rather pay more for quality than have to buy six pair to get three that actually fit, but I guess that makes money for Jockey.

The most comfortable piece of clothing I
As a male user, I sought underpants that held me in place but never was satisfied with what the menswear offered, so I tried a pair of my daughter's panties, and - bingo - I found the solution. The model I wear, Elantra, suits me to a tea. I recommend these panties to anyone.

Incorrectly sized
I am very unhappy with this product. I have worn Jockey panties for many years. I currently have panties which are size 7. These are marked "size 7" but are much smaller. I cannot wear these panties.

on the three pack on sale of the sunflower print briefs do the two solid colors have a white crotch or a colored one to match thepanty??
A shopper on Sep 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, all of our women's Elance panties have a gusett that is 100% cotton. The only ones that do not have white gusett are the black panties. All other patterns and colors will have the white lining.
I would like this in pink, only pink or solid colors. I don't like prints. Is that possible???
A shopper on Feb 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you very much for the question. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer a mix and match feature for our Jockey Women's Elance collection. We are only able to sell them in the color packages that are show on the website.
Is sand color more of a nude shade or darker?
Annette F on Feb 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the sand color is a nude color
what color is the crotch?
A shopper on Jan 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, for garments that are the all one cotton color without a print the gussett is the same color as the panty. However, prints do have a white cotton gussett.
do they have elastic at the waist?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you so much for your question. Our Jockey Elance Brief does feature an elastic waistband that is covered by a piece of Cotton fabric. If you have any other questions about this style or any other Jockey product, please give us a call at 1-800-562-5391.
Do the cotton briefs shrink?
A shopper on Jun 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! We do not use preshrunk cotton in the production of any of our underwear garments here at Jockey. In fact, when you first receive your purchase it can seem a bit big. We've taken that bit of shrink factor into account. Your undergarments should fit at their advertised size after the first wash or two. Hope this helps!
What's the difference between the elance brief and the classic?
Nadine R on Sep 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Nadine, the main difference between the Elance collection and the Classic collection is the waistband. The Classics have an exposed elastic wasitband that has Jockey going around the waistband. The Elance collection has a narrower cotton covered elastic waistband. Since the waistband is narrower it has a slightly shorter rise.
I have some older Elance briefs that I bought about a year and a half ago that are marked style number 1444, but the Elance briefs I'm seeing on your web site are style 1484. What's the difference?
Deb S on Sep 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you so much for your question.

I'm very sorry for the confusion.

Style number 1444 and 1484 are the exact same product. Absolutely no difference between them.

What's different is the packaging. Style 1484 comes in a new, modern packaging design. And when we update packaging, we have to assign a new style number so that our department store accounts can distinguish the old from the new.

Hope this helps!
What is the difference between Elance styles 1484 and 1486?
Karen B on Jul 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! The only difference between those two style numbers would the be sizes in which they are offered, our Elance Briefs (style 1484) are offered in sizes up to size 7, while our Plus Size Elance Briefs (style 1486) range from size 8-11. Hope this helps!
Waht is the length of the side seam?
Evelyn H on Dec 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this item has a side seam of 6 inches.
Does the Classic brief have a side seam like the Elance?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this style does have a side seam that is similar to the Classic brief. If you are looking for an item that is mostly cotton that does not have a side seam; I suggest going with our Comfies Cotton Brief. This item is style number 3348 and can be located at the following link: http://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/comfies-cotton-brief-3pack
Can I get them in white?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you so much for your question and for your interest in our Jockey Elance Briefs. We do offer them in a variety of colors, including a three pack of solid white. You can see them at: http://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/jockey-womens-elance-brief-3-pack
How wide is the gusset or crotch?
Theresa Y on Jan 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Jockey makes about 3 types of Elance now, so if your talking about the regular cotton briefs, in the non-plus sizes they are not over-generous, but comfortable (like a size 7 would be a size 12-14 jeans I guess.) They are not cheap so you do feel covered. The size 8 and up are considered plus, so they do have more material. I prefer the Elance because of the way the leg and waist bands are made, they don't cut into my skin.

I'm a pretty big fan of Jockey underwear so I have a variety of styles and sizes for moods and times of the month. Jockey's are expensive to me so I make sure I get my money's worth. Unless its a holiday or birthday I'm always in a pair of jockey's. Hope that helps. N
I prefer dark solid colors, not patterns, not white. Why do all the sets always include a pattern or white?
Yanna on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Though we offer very few color packs right now that feature all dark colors with no prints or patterns right now, I would be more than happy to forward a suggestion on your behalf that we look into bringing more color packs like that to our sales offerings in the future. I know our design team depends on the insight of customers to help guide our color offerings, so I would like to thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us! It really does help!
LOOKING FOR A BRA YOU MADE A FEW YEARS AGO -- FULL CUT UNDERWIRE NO PADDING?
ginger d on Dec 21, 2015

After eight years in development, we have introduced a new sizing system--employing 26 patents--for a fit that can't be beat. Guaranteed! Or your money back. To learn more about it, please visit our web site: http://www.jockey.com/brastory Hope this helps!
Are the elance briefs ever made in a size 3 or 4? I love them, but you all do not make them in my size anymore. :-(
A shopper on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Although our Elance Brief is not available in size 3 or 4 right now, our merchandising and design team is currently considering whether perhaps our collections are too restrictive in terms of size. So, they've asked us to forward on to them any feedback which would tend to confirm that hypothesis. So I will be forwarding your online product review on to them for review. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Are the items on this website seconds or irregulars? Every time I order I get panties that do not fit becasue they are lop-sdied, too short in the rise, have leg openings too big or somethng. I have worn Jockies for more than 15 years but all that I have bought the last 2 years makes me wonder if I must find someother brand. I only wear all cotton panties.

size 7 is large?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2015
