These are my preferred panties! I have these in several colors! I love how they feel on and the fact that they stay in place. Because I want coverage, the hip brief works for me. They are both my work and weekend panties, and they work well for long international flights! I am 5'10", 179 lbs with no hips, a bit of a derriere and a bit of a stomach. I wear a size 8 in these panties.
I use these on a daily basis. Needed to order a smaller size from the original modal briefs which I absolutely love better than style 1335 with the different people making them. I also felt that the material on the white rose pattern was different than the other patterns, although the label read the same.
I absolutely LOVE these panties! They are so comfortable and breathable and do not show any panty lines. I was so sad when Jockey took the modal version off the market and was thrilled to have them back! Upon their return, the initial ones seemed to fit larger than their predecessors, however, Jockey seems to have fixed that problem as these fit true to size again! Thank you, Jockey! All we need now is a larger color selection!
I was so upset when Jockey stopped selling the modal hip briefs, and unbelievably happy when they brought them back. They are SO comfortable. I like the fact that they have a tiny edge on the legs and waist; thick waistbands feel to me like I'm wearing another pair of pants, not underwear. The material is lovely and soft, but not slippery (like the tactel version of the same product--I always feel like my pants are sliding around over them). The fit is true to size and these panties do not chafe or bind anywhere. I get pressure hives from binding waistbands and leg openings, but never with these. They wash well. I just pray that Jockey keeps offering them!
I just lost fifty pounds on weight watchers. I am wearing leggings and such now. I wanted a panty that really had the "no panty line" promise. This wasn't quite it. But it is a handy pantie for other outfits and is quite comfy.
Like the other reviewers here, I, too, was SOOOO happy to find that you started making these underwear again! I have worn them for years and have been searching for a similar quality and feel, but haven't been able to find any. Then, this weekend, I found them in the Jockey store, and was soooo happy! The sales ladies were also very excited Jockey brought them back and we had a little happy dance together. While they do seem bigger than they were before, buying the next smaller size should fit (and who doesn't like to buy a smaller size?). So to whomever it was in a staff meeting that decided it was a good idea to bring them back.....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Give that person a raise!!
I am so thrilled that these are back. I had given up hope and came across them at a Jockey store and ordered more online. Unfortunately, one of the pairs is already damaged. The stitching came out around the elastic. But other than that, I'm thrilled!
These fit more like briefs--in fact uber briefs. They come up to my navel and beyond. Were they measuring giants? These are not the modal NPL promise of old. And they are extra stretchy. I wonder if the bikinis will fit like hip briefs are supposed to.
These high wasted panties are great with dresses and dress pants. They stay in place, have no panty lines, and come up high enough to avoid the belly line that is visible with bikinis when worn with dresses and slacks.
These new versions of the modal hipster run large ~ I normally would wear a 9 in the old version but can get away comfortably with the 8. I do not like clingy undergarments and these work well for me. Still have the smooth feel and allow clothes to glide along without too much friction.
When held up to the tactel I ordered and compared with the modal I have purchased previously the size was way off. These look like a size 9 instead of a 7. I hope these hold up better. The old modal tend to bead up and not hold up as well as the tactel but the modal is more practical for me.
These are not the same quality as modal briefs & bikinis I've gotten in past years. The fabric is not as silky (and the one with blue & white roses is downright scratchy -- didn't even feel like the other ones). Also, the sizing is really inconsistent. I just had to return a couple 6's because they were appeared to be 8 or 9s. They were at least 2 inches larger than the other 6s in my order.
I've been buying for a while. This order, it seems the style or something changed. The elastic edges on all the pairs seem more loose than previous. Makes the fit feel like they are actually a size larger and the waistband doesn't stay up like before.
Love the tactel so decided to try these. Was surprised that they are cut so differently from the tactel hip brief and the old modal style. They look huge out of the bag. Was surprised to find that they actually fit fairly well, but thought they were a little higher and not quite as snug as the old modal and definitely different than the tactel. These are OK but don't fit as well as the tactel. Unlike some folks, I actually like the fact the material is a little thinner than the old modal and think it feels pretty soft. If you miss the old modal, you may be disappointed. If I buy more, I may go down one size and see how they fit in this style but definitely prefer the tactel
I've bought this style for years at a local mall. When I ordered online, I assumed the fabric would be the same,...silky, soft, stretchy. The online products were stiff, screen-printed fabric that distorted when worn. Could you include fabric descriptions on your online catalog? The silky variety lasts so long. I really do enjoy your original product.
I was so sad when you discontinued the Modal No Panty Line Hip Brief. I have worn these for years and have not been able to find anything else that compares. I was over the moon to find that they had been brought back but they are not the same! They are SO HUGE!! I bought one size smaller on the recommendation of the store salesperson but I am still swimming in them. They are fine under pants but would fall down under a dress. Thank you, thank you for bringing them back but please go back to the original fit and sizing.
I hope that Jockey goes back to the original Modal I am so disappointed that the material was not the same as I have bought in the past the material is not as soft or as comfortable as when I bot several years ago. Very disappointed.
I have some from 2-3 years ago which fit well and the elastic is still good around the waist and legs- they stay in place. If I had known how large these run, I would have ordered a size or two smaller. Leg elastic is too big so pants sometimes ride up under winter underwear & jeans. The hip is very loose as well. Have washed them once hoping they'd shrink (even if not worn), so I am stuck with them. They didn't change in size at all. I ordered a 6, should have ordered a 5. The 6 might be equal to an 8, so be careful.
I don't know why Jockey isn't changing this style back to it's original fit after so many people have complained about them! They are absolutely huge! I wear a size 5 so there was not a smaller size to order. The waist is now so high and the leg openings are so big that they don't stay put. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a similar style with a breathable fabric and a comfortable waistband and leg opening, so I bought these anyway knowing they would not fit well. It now looks like they have been discontinued since they were on the clearance page in the catalog. Hopefully they are just clearing their stock and they will bring back the original style and fit!
I was thrilled when I found out that the modal hipbrief was back, but they've radically changed the cut, fit, and fabric. They don't fit as well anymore and the fabric doesn't feel nearly as soft as it used to. Please bring back the classic modal cut, fit, and fabric.
I too was so excited that Jockey had brought back the modal hip brief. I'm NOT a big fan of the tactel fabric. But.....they are not the same undies. The leg openings are too big and they do not fall 3 inches below the belly button as stated in their description. I would call them more of a brief...not a hip brief....I would call them "mom" underwear. They might work if you were to order a smaller size. Pleeeeasee Jockey....bring back my favorite underwear. I would return them but have decided to keep them to sleep in. Pretty exspensive sleeping underwear.
This will sound like the other negative comments, but I wanted to have my say as well. I have worn this style for years, loved them, they were discontinued. Rejoice, they were back again. So disappointed. I ordered my normal size, they were huge, sent them back, ordered a size down, too small. the fabric in NOTHING like the original modal. Big mistake. If you are a first time buyer of this product, you might be satisfied, but if you are a long time user, you will be seriously disappointed. Dont bother
I am so disappointed with the new & revised panty. I have used them for years and was looking forward to them coming back on the market but whomever is in charge of this new product needs to be fired. This is NOT a quality product. The sizes are hugh compared to what they used to be (and to other panties on the market). I'm returning the package and I guess I'll have to look for another brand. I'm no longer happy with Jockey.
I LOVED YOUR PREVIOUS MODAL FABRIC PANTIES. SINCE YOU HAVE REDESIGNED THEM AND THEY ARE NOW MADE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, OTHER THAN THE ONE THEY WERE MADE IN BEFORE. THE SIZE SIX WAS TWICE THE SIZE OF MY PREVIOUS ONES. WAIST BAND AND LEG OPENINGS ABOUT 5" WIDER THAN MY OTHER SAME STYLE AND SIZE ONES. THE FABRIC IS ALSO VERY THIN AND FLIMSY. MY PREVIOUS ONES WASHED VERY WELL....NOT SURE THESE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH ONE WASH.....PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLDER VERSION IN STYLE, FABRIC AND SIZING. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the previous NPLP Modal, and was very disappointed when they disappeared from stores. Found the new model at a Jockey Outlet...was so thrilled I bought 10 pairs. Big mistake. They fit poorly: are incoreectly sized; gap at the legs; and come up to the waist. I compared them to a pair I still had of the previous model and these look 2 sizes bigger. Bummer.
I've worn the No Panty Line briefs for years and love them. I didn't realize Jockey had changed them and I should have read the reviews before I bought eight pair on line and now I'm stuck with them! I washed them without realizing they had changed them and cannot return them.
The previous design of these panties was much better. The current version is enormous - width too big, comes up too far on body. These are not hiphuggers. Really wish Jockey would bring back the old design that was wonderful and had no panty lines.
I have ordered this product for several years and was always pleased with it but the last order was not acceptable. The fabric was coarse and the cut was different. I kept the order but was not happy with it. If I order again and receive the same inferior product, I will return it.
Have worn the modal hipbrief for years. Was sad to see they had been discontinued and thrilled when they brought them back. Unfortunately they have completely changed the fit. A huge disappointment!! Had to return them.
