Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief
Years ago Jockey discontinued my favorite brief. I tried numerous other brands. The only one I truly liked had a prohibitive cost. I came back to Jockey, tried this style because it looked closet to what I use to like and was thrilled to find out that I love them. I now want to throw all those other brands and replace them with these!

Like Getting a Hug!
I bought a pair of these at a discount dept. store. I am a big guy who likes to have comfortable briefs. Usually underwear are too tight or too loose (or lose shape very quickly). I was so impressed with these underwear, I went to the Jockey website to seek them out. I was nervous, because I didn't know the style I was buying. I learned that the "style info" is on the packaging and not the actual underwear. I gambled getting what I thought were the right ones, and sure enough they were the same. YES! Putting on new underwear that is so comfortable and fit so well is like getting a great big hug!

Jockey® Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief
I purchased a couple pair of this style #8420 Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief as recommended by a Jockey Customer Care representative on a trial basis to replace my favorite style #8181 3D Innovations Low Rise Brief, which have been discontinued. So far I cannot find any similarities in the two products. The rise on the waist is slightly higher, there is a seam down the front which is uncomfortable, and they seem to sag thus creating another undesirable feeling. I will not be purchasing this style again !!

Most Comfortable Underwear I Have Worn
Bought several pair to replace aging underwear. Researched all major brands of underwear and settled on Jockey because of their reputation for a quality product. Have worn other styles of Jockey over the years and all have been good. Hard to find a good quality product anymore. Extremely comfortable stretch cotton/spandex blend that fits and feels good. Waistband is comfortable and does not roll over. The edges of some of the tags can be prickly but that can easily be remedied by removing them or snipping the squared corners. The rise is higher than pictures indicate.
Comfortable and Dry
Great product!

overall satisfied
As some others have suggested the tag in the back can irritate, but overall its good.
Its "taller" than it looks in the pic, that is its like a traditional Y front but without the fly.
Overall better than I expected, will buy again.

Better second time around
I bought this once again, the previous pair were good but the label in the back was scratchy but the white pair is perfect, love it !

I would buy this product again

GREAT cut! Most briefs I end up not liking at all because they ride up the back and just generally shift into a v-shape overall. This one is perfect. It's even a somewhat low rise so it doesnt peek above pants either.

Reviews on comfort. Keep in mind, I was going without any underwear for over 30 years before buying. I still prefer going without...it's the absolute MOST comfortable....hands down, no comparison. It's also healthier for men and women to go without...

why cant I buy only heather grey low rise briefs?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It's hard to supply every choice for every customer and keep costs down. The two-packs are packaged as the product is made. From my point of view, however, I like color! If you look good in low-rise briefs, why only have grey?
Does the above item have an fly?
A shopper on Dec 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Low-Rise cotton stretch brief does not have a fly. They remind me of sports briefs that I have had. But they are comfortable; the pouch holds well; and it is not difficult to pull the elastic waist band down when needed. I'm glad I have purchased them. I like the low cut, the soft texture and the support.
I have a 36 inch waist and a bit pudgy in the abdomen. Will these wear well and maintain their shape?
Walter M on Aug 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. With the bit of elastic featured in this style, our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief does tend to hold it's shape. At this time though we only have this particular style available in a size XL or 2XL. For a 36 inch waist, we would suggest going with a size large for a proper fit. Hope this helps.
Once again another Jockey ad for one of their shorts without a photo, a drawing, or a notation if it has "moderate coverage" over one's rear. Why can't you answer the basic specs for all your underwear products consistently?
Jerry P on Sep 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've been told that these are a replacement item for the Jockey Mens 3D-Innovations No-Fly Low Rise Brief which they no longer carry. I ordered a couple pair to try them out, but was very disappointed. Although the coverage is similar, which is moderate in front and back, the support is very lacking! I would not recommend purchasing this item.

Jerry P on Sep 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this jockey brief has moderate coverage
Why are you discontinueing these?
David D on May 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wish we could have found more people like you, who enjoyed our Slim Fit Stretch Low-Rise Brief. It was, alas, discontinued due to poor sales performance. I ran a quick scan on inventory in our warehouse and our outlet stores (sometimes we can find discontinued products there). But no luck: there's not a single piece to be found. Sorry about that. Meanwhile, we will pass your feedback on to our merchandising and sales staff as products are often brought back when consumer demand is great enough. Thank you for your feedback!
Do you carry these in smaller sizes?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I sure wish we could have found more people like you. Due to poor sales performance our Slim Fit Stretch Low-Rise Brief was retired, and we have no more. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Our customers have been migrating to our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief - 2 Pack (style 8492). You can find this style online at: http://www.jockey.com/catalog?q=8492. Hope this helps!

is the pouch large enough ?
A shopper on Apr 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Many of our men’s Jockey styles feature the perfect balance of support and comfort in their pouch offerings. This particular style does feature a fairly standard pouch depth, which many of our customers have enjoyed. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase though, please give one of our Personal Shoppers a call at 1-800-JOCKEY-1 (800-562-5391). Hope this helps!
Are these briefs being discontinued?? If not are there more colors on the way??
A shopper on Mar 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I sure wish we could have found more people like you. Due to poor sales performance our Slim Fit Stretch Low-Rise Brief was retired. We have a limited selection of this style available at Jockey.com, but once those are sold out that could be it for this item. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Many of our customers who enjoyed this style have begun to migrate to our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief (style 8492). This new style can be found at: http://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/jockey-low-rise-cotton-stretch-brief Hope this helps!
Are these available with fly?
A shopper on Mar 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This particular style, our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Brief, is not currently available with a fly. At this time the only style of low-rise brief we currently offer with a fly would be our Classic Low-Rise Brief (http://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/classic-low-rise-brief). I have forwarded a suggestion though on your behalf that we look into producing this particular style with a fly, as I know our design team depends on the input of customers such as your-self. Thank you for sharing that feedback, it really does help!
medium equals what waists size?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question, the size medium is a 32-34.
I bought the #23638 underwear from a department store and they no longer sell them. Is the jockey 2 pk low-rise cotton stretch brief the same ? The picture looks the same.

Notice in some comments, that people don't know how to punctuate, don't comprehend tenses, nor use contractions with apostrophes? It's everywhere, wherever people post. It's the sign of what people have failed to do while in school.
