I like clothing that looks great, but without a great fit and comfort, it's not worth putting on. These new Midway Boxer Briefs from Jockey look awesome AND feel great on you. The thin, lightweight fabric gives just the right amount support while giving you freedom to move.
I was very interested in these for working out and running. I had read several reviews and decided to try them out. I have to say I was very surprised. The first tiem I put them on, they felt great. Love the feel of the fabric, forms to my curves and keeps everything secure. I put them on in the morning under my suit, love the barely there feel all day. Strip to them when I get home and just loungue around. throw on some shorts and off to the gym, makes a great support pouch for running or weights. Then, into the hot tub or pool. Great as swim wear. All around great underwear. Had them 4 - 5 months now, no issue with seams or quality. All 6 pairs have been washed each week for the last 5 months. Love them!
You know those sandwiches and burgers that are on food menus that look soooo perfect, but the real thing only kinda resembles the photo? Well, the photo of these underwear show them almost reaching the knees, like bike shorts. Don't believe it. They terminate above mid thigh, then ride up. My legs are a bit on the short side, by the way.
This product was one of two recommended to try with the discontinued Go Mesh Midway leaving soon. . . it was not a replacement. The first set split seams in one wearing. The Large was too small; I had to up to an XL, typical of Under Amour type long boxer jocks. The pouch doesn't breathe, and the whole product just stayed damp when worn for workouts. Very slick finish makes it hard to keep a shirt tucked in (military, my tees are tucked into my undershorts). I didn't like it at all, and must say a comparison to the 9" boxer jock by UA was WRONG. The only nice thing was a fly front. Not compression enough to be truly athletic, too damp to be athletic. More of kind of ladies' slick finish fabric. Try these with better fit and a mesh/breathing pouch. .
Bought these for my husband - they were just what he was looking for to replace his well worn Under Armour. They would be perfect, except for one defect - the seam falls out after just 1 or 2 washes! I called jockey to complain and they sent me new ones...well, the same thing happened to those too and by looking at the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one who has had this problem. Under Armour may cost more, but it's well worth the money when they are made with quality and last for years as opposed to these which last for about 1-2 maybe 3 wears if you're lucky!
I love this product line! The fit is perfect and they are so comfortable. I appreciate the fun color choices such as the bright green, bright blue, purple. I'd like even more options though. Orange, yellow, even pink. Stripes would would be fun too! I'd order every color besides black, grey, white, & navy.
I prefer to use for work and workouts at the gym. I work in surgery in a hospital.Ever wear scrubs? Scratchy, itchy, but you got to wear scrubs for the job. I Freeze while working, the mid length shorts keep my legs and thighs warm and prevent chaffing. The scrubs are washed in very strong detergents and bleach by the hospital. I have had one issue: the right thigh side panel stitching came undone with one wash / use. waiting to see if I am emailed back March 1st 2010
As a triathlete, I purchased the midway made of micro fiber to wear while training as a sort of compression short. As it turns out, I like them so much I am now wearing for everyday. I have always preferred the midway but found the cotton version would ride up my thighs a bit. These stay in place quite well. My only suggestion is that the "H" fly opening is a bit more difficult to maneuver making access a bit more challenging. 'nuff said. Even with that - I really like these and just asked my wife to get a few more pairs for me at the JOCKEY outlet.
I was buying the Jockey Pouch mid-way's, but like something less insulative during the warm months. This is the one. Wraps around me well and stays put. Does not ride up, waistband is not a bit uncomfortable, no-gap fly keeps my stuff in place. This is the smoothest feeling fabric of all the Jockey products I've bought.
I bought these sport briefs and matching long-sleeved t-shirt for my husband as a gift. He loved everything and wears it when he works out. It gives him the support he needs, plus looks great on him. The proof that he likes them is that he wears them often, so it's a good thing I bought more than one!
I've worn the cotton version for years, they fit well but get saturated. I refuse to pay the price of - or support the homophobia of - the designer brands. Took a chance on a 2-pack of these at [...], and have been pleasantly surprised. They wick moisture much better than the cotton version. The size Medium fits my 30 1/2 waist very well. They are snug enough to give good support to "the boys", without pinching. They don't ride up my thighs, and the top is low enough that it doesn't show above the waist of my Levis when working without a shirt.
I think these are the best midways that Jockey has produced. The fabric is awesome, and fits me perfectly! I really like how "the boys" stay nice and dry. I wear these everyday now, I bought a 2 pack and got hooked! Went back to the store two days later and bought more! I hope they don't ever stop making these because they are so comfortable.
2nd time buying these. Great in the winter but doesn't breath or wick enough for summer. The newer ones seem a little more snug and perhaps not as stretchy as the old ones. The 1st time buying I had a pair with bad stitching that unraveled in the wash (Jockey replaced for no cost). Reviews indicated this was not uncommon. Bought 2 pairs this time and all 4 were great.
these feel good, nice tight fit, but the legs are too short. only about half as long as I would like them and are not a TRUE midway brief...but the pouch feature is great, even tho the sewing leave a lot to be desired, after only one washing the seems and hems are coming loose
Most comfortable underwear I've ever purchased. I bought 4 pair. Unfortunately, after one wash 1 pair had a split in the seam, by the 4th wash another had a split in the same spot. The waist band on all pairs are now showing considerable wear. I like them enough to buy more in the hopes that these quality issues have been identified and addressed.
I ordered these because they were on sale, and I really like Jockey's regular midway boxer briefs. These are made of a slick, stretchy material, very breathable, but they tend to pull down and not stay in place. They also have very little give and are just a bit tighter than one would like. If you like the midway briefs, stick to them.
Bought a pack of these and the regular briefs. Love the fabric and support; however, the low sitting waistband kept bothering me on both the boxerbriefs and briefs so back to the JOCKEY STORE they went. Had the waistline been a normal height I would have kept them and bought more because the fabric is incredible. Makes one feel as if they are not wearing any underwear. But, I realize they were designed for sports and therefore the lower waistline; however, I am more interested in everyday wear. As a chiropractor, I am moving around all day long- bending, stooping, sitting, standing and I need underwear that will work with me! BTW- it seems that alot of people in the comment forum don't know that if you are not satisfied with any product (100% satisified), Jockey provides credit or full refund. No need to throw away or donate new underwear just because you did not like them. So, folks- return them to Jockey if purchased online or directly to a Jockey Outlet Store if purchased there in the event you are not happy in anyway with the product for refund or credit. I so appreciate Jockey's policy because I know I am free to try new products without fear or loss. Or, if a product is defective- again no problem with refund or exchange. There have been times where I liked the product but the sizing was wrong. No problem- full exchange without hassle. Therefore I've been a loyal customer for 20+ years now. For now, I will stick with the 97% cotton Midways for my everyday wear.
These look and feel great. However, I wore them once, put them in the wash, and for no reason at all they split along a seam. Jockey continues to be a great company, and therefore they are immediately sending me out a new pair. However, in my experience this has become a pattern with Jockey clothing over the past two years. Nothing fits or feels better, but they either wear out WAY too quickly, or fall apart at the seams almost immediately. I love the style and fit of your products, Jockey, but please improve on your quality!!!
I have been using these mid-way briefs for a long while. I like them. First they up the price and drop the amount of units per package almost quadrupling the price and over the past couple of years, I don't get 15 wears before the material gets thin, holes appear at seams. I was them gently now but its all at the seams. Just very poor quality. I have actually started to purchase others and will continue to move away from Jockey if they do not fix this.
Purchased 5 packs (10 pair) and 8 out of 10 pair within the first time wearing or just out of the pack the seam seperated and have holes in them. I am returning all 10 pair. Will go back to my Jockey Go Mesh boxer briefs style 8416.
The midway briefs were very comfortable, but both pairs had a quality issue. On one the leg band unraveled in the wash. The other had a seam come apart in the crotch. The support boxer briefs I purchased at the same time have held up as expected.
I ordered two packages of 2 briefs as I really liked ones I had ordered 6 months ago. Upon opening the packages I found one pair that was defective. Poor sewing job on the front yoke of the brief. After wearing two other pairs of the briefs the exact same thing happened, the seam came apart in the exact same place as the first pair. I sent the first pair back prior to experiencing the second and third problem and to this date have not received as much as a communication from Jockey in regards to my problem. After the other two pair were found defective I have sent communications twice to customer service and so far no response from them. I like the product as far as fit, comfort and support but the quality is horrible at best.
Changing over from the Cotton Pouch I thought would a difference, but the legs do not pulled out of shape, half way through the day, They are great for daily use and also at the gym, very breathable and affordable. I would recommend to anyone that is on the go all day long.
I only wear these underwear. I have run marathons in them. I have chafing issues with my thighs. These are the only underwear I have found that cover this much of the thigh, stay tight to the thigh. They also secure the package well. And I don't get too hot in them.
