I have very sensitive skin. I love these. They never itch. And I don't get that synthetic feeling even though they are modal. They are so soft.I am tall and they stretch without becoming tight. Bought 6 pairs 2 years ago and they are now full of holes. I am back for more, because I won't wear anything else. I tried the most expensive silk. Doesn't feel warm and soft in the same way.

Would have been much happier to have had it in red, which was out of stock. This would seem to indicate that ladies love red!!! No one sees long underwear but the wearer, so why not make it exciting and in bright colors, or even prints. The reason the more expensive lines keep selling their overpriced products is because they lure people in with a more attractive product. The neutrals are only good if you are layering and you don't want the under garment showing. Is it really very much more expensive to use more bright colors? You could make up the difference by charging a couple dollars more per item and people pay it.

Comments about Jockey No Panty Line Promise® Modal Long John:
Would be great if they were warmer.
Bring back old waistband please!!!!!
By Modal Addict
from Ontario, Canada
I purchased a size small of the modal long johns in black last year and hoped to stock up with lots more this season. However I was greatly disappointed to read the reviews stating the waistband had changed. Thank you to those reviewers. I hope that Jockey listens to its customers and returns to the original design for next year. Then I will happily buy more!I actually don't mind some extra length on these leggings because then I don't have annoying gaps above my socks or at my waist, which would expose my skin to the cold. I simply scrunch them down at the ankles so they look almost stylishly ruched; I am only 5'3". I prefer that the long johns overlap underneath my baselayer shirt. However if by some chance they do peak out above my low-rise jeans, I don't fret because the original thin disappearing edge waistband is not noticeable and certainly doesn't look like underwear. However if the pants were made even longer this year with a wider waistband, they would become unmanageable.
Great material, don't love waistband

I use this as long underwear under clothing for both work and play. The waistband does not stay flat and I have to untwist it often. Also the ankles are a bit tight. The material is super light, warm and comfortable
Comfortable Long John's
By Debbie

I have had these long johns in the past and with recently losing weight, I wanted to replace them with a smaller size. They are still the same great product but the new waistband is odd. It's not sewn the whole way around, just in places and it doesn't always lay flat. Once you get it situated it ok but I liked the old waistband better. As someone else said, I am short, 5'2" so they are a mile long. I just cuff them up and they stay put without falling down. All in all, they are nice for keeping you warmer, which is their purpose.
I wear them all the time!
By Karla

I am always freezing, so having these pants is wonderful for me. They are so thin that they can be worn under dress pants and jeans. The material is very soft. I also wear these pants to bed - I used to sleep with two pairs of pajama pants, but now I wear these and one pair of pajama pants and I'm warmer than before - plus less bulky. I'm 5'8", wear approximately a size 10 jean and have a bubble butt. The size large fits very well. It isn't constricting, but also isn't too loose. I HATE having tight clothing around my stomach.

too much waistband
By sallyg

Purchased similar style from Jockey a few years ago with a very thin elastic waistband, which I liked very much. It has been restyled with elastic that is about one inch. Now there is too much around my waist (panties, long john, slacks) to be comfortable all day.
Absolutely amazing!

These are great for those really cold days outside but are just as wonderful for hanging around the house ( as long as you are solo or with sig. Other as they are to thin to wear around company.

Waist Band seems flawed, rolls over
By none

Waist band needs to be completely sewn flat. It is rolled and sewn inconsistently. Waist band rolls and bunches up. American crtaftmanship / labor would make a better product

I wear my jockeys when the temps are cold. They're very comfortable. I love them!
nice thermal bottom
By David (yep its true) S

Well i decided to try this out as a thermal bottom. I actually rather like them as they are very comfortable and keep me warm at work. I ordered the black one and wear them under my work pants for warmth in a warehouse. The waist band is kind of odd but I guess it was made that way for some reason? anyways its still a good product.

Waistband has been Redesigned :-(

About Me Rarely Work Out
I have worn Jockey No Panty Line Promise Modal Long underwear for five or more years now. I live in a cold climate and wear both the top and bottom daily from November-March. I am 5'3", 105 lbs and the smalls fit perfectly with jeans and any top of choosing fitting easily over. While the quality has not changed, Jockey redesigned the waistband from the traditional No Panty Line Promise simple wrapped elastic to a 1" elastic band that I fear will twist and perhaps even come undone over time. Admittedly the traditional clear elastic waste did stretch out over time, but with two years of everyday wear and regular washing, I expect some things to fall out of shape! Very disappointed in the waistband change.
soft,warm,best thermal ever
By Maria the biker

I tried these out today for the first time. I wore them under my cycle shorts for a 16 mile bike ride. It was windy and not very sunny, but my legs were just the perfect temp. I didn't have cold stiff knees, but I wasn't sweating to death either. They wash well and feel great on your skin. I thought they may run a bit big, I never wear a medium in tight fitting pants and these required a medium. Great product Jockey.

Best long underwear ever
By Rivertime
from Idaho
I work outside and wear long underwear every day for 5-6 months of the year. I've never been able to find women's long johns long enough and I hate the bulky crotch of men's versions. These are plenty long and I love the high, soft waist. It allows me to overlap my top and bottom base layers to eliminate that gap that often occurs at your lower back when you bend over. Thank you Jockey!
Not True to Size At All
By M
from Philadelphia
I wanted to wear these under clothes for during the winter and during working in cold evironments. The pants are comfortable and soft and fit nicely under clothes, but they are not true to size at all. According to the sizing I was going to be at the upper end of one size and that size is HUGE!!! The waist band is so stretched out I wondered if had been worn before. Even if I pull it up high it doesn't work. I have to roll it to get it to stay up. It is also a little big through the thighs and hips. I thought it would be more form fitting. I was supposed to be well into a size small and it is too big and they don't make XS so I can't exchange it.

This is just the best purchase ever. I like to shop in person so that I can feel the fabric. This online shopping purchase did not disappoint at all.
