As the old adage goes, "what's old is new again" -- eventually. As many of us fondly remember, Jockey issued a line of Slim Guy briefs years ago that offered low-rise briefs in great fashion colors trimmed in pure white. They were a big hit and fondly remembered by me and several other reviewers.Well years later, Jockey went retrospective and re-issued them both for themselves (Jockey.com and big-named retailers like [...]) as well as an exclusive line for [...]. For unknown reasons, the lines offered by Jockey only includes navy blue trimmed briefs while the exclusive Urban Outfitters version comes in white. Go figure!Regardless of trim color, what makes these briefs superb is the color and the fashion statement combined with a GREAT fit -- not too tight like their low-rise briefs and not too much material as found in their classic hi-rise briefs. Just perfect and with bold contrasting trim to match! My ONLY gripe with this collection, thus far, is that if you buy from Jockey, one piece of the three (that is one third) is NOT a Retro piece since it is basically navy blue trim on a navy blue brief. How is that retro?Otherwise, hats off to the marketing team at Jockey and give us MORE color combos next!

Jockey, I'm glad you've recognized the "retro" trend, however, why not produce them in solid colors with the white piping and waistbands like you did in the 70s and 80s? I'm serious, they'd sell like hotcakes. Also, it's a real disappointment that one of the briefs in each package is a solid color -- that's not "retro!" I've bought three packages of these, but I've just been throwing the solid navy pair away. These are OK, but please recapture the retro look of your Jockey Slim Guy briefs. Are you listening?(Wears out quickly = the waist bands seem to stretch out of shape after just a few wearings.)

the front gap does not close properly after going to bath room. I can see why these were on sale.
Fine for casual wear

I think these are relatively cute and comfortable, but I sometimes feel the Y front is placed in such a way that it doesn't accentuate the boy-bits the way I would prefer!

Why is this being discontinued?

All Jockey needs to do is to add more colors. And --- change the navy trim to white!(If you're between sizes, order up.)
A good buy

I wasn't sure that I was going to like them at first as the waist band felt very rough to the touch. But when worn, the waist band did not scratch or chafe

Y-Front Briefs for years --
By Aloha
from Chicago
I wore the Y-front briefs for years and years. When I purchased the 3D-Innovations brief, all these Y-fronts were tossed out, as even though they may be a very good product in comparison to other brands, they do not give the support and sharp looks of the 3D-InnovationsIt is no longer the 50's: Underwear has come a long way. Spend a few dollars more to get the comfort, and especially the support a man needs.
