low rise
They are truly a low rise product that fits well. The fly does tend to open on occasion.

not what is pictured
I agree with the other reviewer who wrote that the item shipped is not the item pictured. I believe what is pictured is the midway brief. I guess the description is accurate because it indicates a 2" inseam (it's a stretch at that). Bottom line, these are very short and the picture really should match the description. I wanted to return them, but my husband didn't want to bother.

Waistband is too loose. Previous package I bought fit good; latest package has a larger waistband. I'm not sure if this was intentional or just poor quality control.

Wanted to Rate Lower So They Wouldn't Run Out
By far the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn. They ride low at the top WHICH IS WHERE THEY SHOULD. Jockey still has too many styles that are grandpa, up to the belly button shorts. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't call them low rise, I'd call them "normal rise."

As far as the legs go, again, they are perfect. As others have said, they are a little shorter in the legs than the images appear - somewhere between a trunk and a brief. But that length, at least for me, has been magical. The longer legged underwear always feel like they're riding up and I'm pulling them down. Any shorter, and they always feel like they're riding WAY up, and I'm pulling them out of parts. This style simply doesn't ride up. They stay where they should.

Finally, they look great. It doesn't look like I'm wearing briefs and it doesn't look like I'm wearing sliding shorts for softball. If I had any criticism, I guess I'd offer that they could have a wider selection of colors - although what is offered isn't bad, just wish they had more.

Well done, Jockey. I'm glad to have returned to the fold of happy customers.

Great Fit
I recently switched over to all Boxer Briefs, and these are the best I have found. Lower Rise (could be a bit lower), nice fabric that's stretchy but not too snug, and good waistband fit. I bought a bunch of these, and a few of the longer version for colder months. I will say that they are much shorter than the picture depicts (which is fine by me). The picture looks more like the long version.

These are nice but they are briefs. I didn't realize how short these were. Good quality, doesn't fade to much, feels good on the skin, holds nicely, fabric stays tight doesn't stretch much with weekly use. But to short. Owned for a year.

Are theses tag less?
A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are tag less, unless they changed something since the last time I bought mine. You should have no tags sticking you in the back. I just wished they came in more colors!
Do these come in white?
Kent M on Aug 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.

I wish we could have found more people like you, who enjoyed our Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Boxer Brief. It was, alas, discontinued due to poor sales performance. I ran a quick scan on inventory in our warehouse and our outlet stores (sometimes we can find discontinued products there). But no luck: the colors that are showing on the website is all that we have left remaining, and we will not be receiving any additional inventory. Sorry about that.

I wish I could refer you to something else, but unfortunately, we have nothing else quite like it. It was unique (which no doubt also explains your determination to find it amid our array of other products).

So one way or another, you'll need to find a new product, and we'd like it to be a Jockey one. So I hope you'll consider the many products on our Web site.

And better yet, why not give one of our personal shoppers a call? It's free and they'd be glad to help. You can reach them weekdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central at 1-800-562-5391.

Meanwhile, we will pass your feedback on to our merchandising and sales staff as products are often brought back when consumer demand is great enough.

Hope this helps!
what is difference between 8495 and 8494?
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These boxer briefs are identical in material composition. The only difference I have seen is that the 8494 is standard length Boxer brief and the 8495 is midway which runs longer in the leg. Both feel and fit the same and offer excellent comfort and minimal ride up. The preference for the individual that is weat them is abot leg length - standard boxer brief length - approximatlel mid thigh vs. Midway that runs longer in the leg. Color selection in 8494 is really excellent - many choices. Not as many colors, that I found in the midway 8495. I personally like the 8494 better as I am short and prefer the shorter length vs. anything Midway. Hope this helps..
What is the difference between 8421 and 8494 boxer brief ?
A shopper on Mar 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Both of those style numbers refer to our Jockey Low-Rise Cotton Stretch Boxer Brief. Style 8494 would be our current color and style number offering for this particular style, while 8421 would be our preivously offered style number. Both feature the same great product, but from time to time we do update our style numbers for our department store customers. Beyond that change, and a slightly different color offering, both of these styles feature that same great stay-dry feel you've come to love! If you had any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
What size should I order for a 35inch waist (measured with tape where the low rise boxer brief would sit)?
A shopper on Dec 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question, the size large measures a 36-38 and the size medium measures a 32-34. Typically, I will tell people to go with the size larger when in a sizing situation. What I suggest is going with a medium and large and return the one that does not fit. We offer free returns and exchanges on each order.
what is the length of the leg?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this item has 10 1/4 inch side seam and a 2 inch in seam.
